Surf Records & Marlinda Records

During the 1950's and 1960's Surf Records and Marlinda Records were founded by Kenny Babcock. Marlinda Records was Surf' Records sister company. Kenny was very progressive and prolific in the music business. Surf had recording stars like Judy Harriet (Spiegelman), one of the original Walt Disney Mouseketeers. Harold Lloyd Junior (Duke Lloyd) was the son of the famous silent movie star Harold Lloyd, He had stared in many movies when he was signed by Surf Records to record music. Another Surf Star was Johnny Faire a.k.a. Donnie Brooks. There were many more artist who signed contracts with Surf Records in the 1950's era. Keith Babcock, one of Kenny Babcock sons, was actively involved with the music business then. He was also in motion pictures, His first picture was titled "Airborne." it starred Bobby Diamond and was reoleased in 1962 nationwide.

Surf Records has always providing that keen sound that captured the dreams of a generation. They enjoyed the sounds only vinyl records with vacuum tube amplifiers could provide. After over forty years we have re-released our catalog of songs that are loved by millions. Surf Records has also added today's contemporary sounds to round out our catalog of great music. We have included a few ringtones in our catalog for those who like to bring the remembrance of their favorite song to their cellphone as a ringer for incoming calls. The picture on the right is Kenny Babcock at the time he founded Surf and Marlinda Records.

You can easily find songs and ringtones to download by selecting the category you would like to browse. You will see  RINGTONE ONLY on a ringtone, This means that it is the ringtone and not the full song. Kenneth Everett Babcock in picture at right.

Welcome to Surf Records website. Stay as long as you like

and Enjoy !!
